 Suitcase in the Hills

John wrote his novel A Suitcase in the Hills during the 1970s.  It was privately published by Mary Levinson in 1991, in a handsome edition as shown here.

The novel is described on the flyleaf as 'a fantastical exploration of India, a journey towards the reconciliation of eastern and western culture.  It is written in the first person by the narrator Jeez Buzz and describes his encounters with Tim Dark, also called Hiccup or Dark Eyes.

The book opens with the explanation 'Two people wrote this book.  One is me.  The other is he.  But there is, I'm afraid more me in this book as there always seems to be in life.

A few copies of the book remain available for those who knew John and would like to own one.  To obtain a copy please use the contact details at More Information.
